In order to critique a comic cover I decided to go to the source material. I Googled "she-hulk" and "she-hulk cover" to see how other artists had tackled this job. After an exhaustive cursory search of images I can safely say that this does everything a cover is supposed to do and a little bit more. These days the walls of comic shops are completely covered with images so it is all the harder to stand out. This cover does. The viewer is grabbed immediately by the kinetic composition and kidnapped by the tremendous level of detail and emotion. For example, I feel as though I could really wear her glove in the foreground. However, I can't give 5 stars for originality though as superheroes have been know to punch through walls.

You take the character seriously and make her dynamic and powerful rather than titilating without losing any of her attraction. The subject's gaze confronts the viewer with equal parts strength and sensuality. You make her look fierce without aging her at all. The slight snarl in her lip is a perfect touch! I especially like how you simplify the exploding wall that is frozen in time so that it does not compete for attention with the subject. Lastly, the contrast and balance is well done...the sliver of black on the left balances the larger field of black on the right (although at times I feel it needs some more visual weight near the bottom left but there was probably going to be a bar code there or something). Proportionately perfect.

Obviously you asked for a critique but it is nearly impossible me to find anything I don't like here or that could be dramatically improved. Fantastic.
