Awesome composition! I really appreciate how the large gray shape is closed in around the saturated colors of Mystique's upper body. It communicates the stress of sneaking, along with the clear clues of her crouching under a stair well with soldiers passing over.
The leather is as always very well done and its shininess contrasts nicely with the texture of her bare skin. Her pose and face are flawless, in my opinion.
I also really appreciate the tangibility of her stomach being pressed inward by the upper hem of her pants. It really makes her flesh look supple and alive.
The details in Mystique's clothing are executed well, it gives you an idea of where the light source is coming from. The perspective from the wall and the line created from the staircase direct your eyes from the foreground to the background. Mistique's body language illustrates a sense of danger, her expression, the tension in her finger tips display her feelings. The oncoming soldiers explain the unwanted distress. What's more impressive is that this was designed by hand. Hand painted comic art tends to be more dramatic than traditional pen and ink, which is why this is great. Thank you for sharing this work.
